Gabrielle & Matthew – A Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel Wedding

A Romantic Spring Wedding at the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel:

It’s officially wedding season again, and what a way to kick it off! Gabrielle & Matthew’s wedding at the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel was the perfect start to our season. With sunshine, heartfelt moments, and stunning details, their day had everything we love about photographing weddings in Pittsburgh.

Getting Ready in the Heaven Suite

We began the day at the Renaissance in the iconic Heaven Suite, which is flooded with natural light and full of charm. Gabrielle got ready with her mom and maid of honor, who helped her into her gown and accessories.

One of our favorite moments? Gabrielle surprised her bridesmaids with a sweet bridesmaids’ reveal that was full of laughter and happy tears.

She also shared a touching first look with her dad, which had everyone (including us) getting a little misty.

Meanwhile, Matthew spent a relaxed afternoon with his dad and groomsmen, getting ready for the big day.

A Ceremony at St. Paul’s Cathedral

The couple chose one of the most breathtaking ceremony locations in the city—St. Paul’s Cathedral. With its towering arches and timeless elegance, it was the perfect place to say “I do.”

After the ceremony, we took advantage of St. Paul’s garden for a few romantic portraits before heading into the city.

Iconic Pittsburgh Photo Stops

On our way to the reception, we made a quick stop at the Andy Warhol Bridge for some classic Pittsburgh wedding portraits. It’s such a fun and iconic backdrop, and it added a playful energy to the day.

A Soft & Romantic Reception at the Renaissance

Back at the Renaissance, the ballroom had been completely transformed into a soft, romantic space with cream linens, candlelight, and subtle blush details. Behr Blooms created the most dreamy floral arrangements that tied everything together beautifully.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a true Pittsburgh wedding without a legendary cookie table—and this one did not disappoint!

One thoughtful detail we loved? The couple opted to have their toasts before dinner service, allowing us to capture some incredibly sweet and candid reactions from their guests.

Dancing the Night Away

Once dinner was wrapped, No Bad Juju took over and had the crowd dancing all night long. The energy was electric, and it was clear that every single guest was having a blast.

We feel so lucky to have been part of Gabrielle & Matthew’s day—it was the perfect mix of elegance, emotion, and fun.
