One of the greatest compliments we can receive as wedding photographers is when a family member of a past couple reaches out to book us for their own big day. That’s exactly how we met Sarah and Casey!
Back in 2020, Sarah and Casey were part of the bridal party at Matthew and Jordan’s wedding, Sarah’s brother and sister-in-law. Fast forward to today, and we had the honor of capturing Sarah and Casey’s timeless, elegant celebration.
Getting Ready: A Day Full of Love and Sweet Moments
I was completely in love with Sarah’s gown—so chic, elegant, and absolutely perfect for her.
Sarah’s sister, Mary, helped her into her dress, and it was clear how close their bond is.
One of the most touching moments from the morning was Sarah’s first look with her dad. The joy and emotion on his face said it all.

Honoring Family in Every Detail
This couple emphasized the importance of family throughout their entire day. One of the most moving moments was when Casey took a quiet moment before the ceremony to light a candle in honor of his late brother, a deeply meaningful gesture.
Sarah’s elaborately beaded cathedral veil was definitely a show-stopper!
During the ceremony, Casey also took a moment during the sign of peace to shake Sarah’s grandfather’s hand. It was a sweet, candid moment that speaks to the kind of people these two are.
Finding the Perfect City View for Wedding Portraits
One of the couple’s requests was a cityscape backdrop for their wedding photos. But between the Pittsburgh Arts Festival, PRIDE parade, and a Pirates game—all happening the same weekend—it was no small task!
Still, with a little help from my friends and some pre-wedding scouting, we found the perfect spot—quiet, scenic, and away from all the downtown chaos. It was so worth it.
Reception at Edgewood Country Club
The newlyweds hosted their reception at the beautiful Edgewood Country Club. Before the party got underway, we took advantage of the club’s stunning grounds for a few more portraits. A passing rainstorm left the sky glowing in the softest pastel hues—a dreamy backdrop for golden-hour photos.

Celebrating in Style
Casey whisked Sarah into the reception to the sound of cheers and applause.
During the toasts, there were smiles, tears, and plenty of laughter as family and friends shared memories and well-wishes.
Once the dance floor opened, the bridal party kept the energy high and the celebration going strong well into the night.
