Fox Chapel Golf Club Wedding . Anna & Patrick

Anna and Patrick’s Fox Chapel Golf Club wedding took place on a beautiful spring day in May. Their ceremony was held at the iconic Heinz Chapel in Pittsburgh. With clear skies and mild weather, the day felt elegant from start to finish.

Starting the morning at Fox Chapel Golf Club

Anna got ready in the locker room at Fox Chapel Golf Club, a bright and calm space that set the tone for the morning. Her wedding details were classic and elegant, starting with her stunning gown and Badgley Mischka pumps.

Anna’s dress was unique and stunning. The bodice featured intricate lace that fit her perfectly, creating a flattering and timeless silhouette. The lace faded at the waist into a simple, clean white skirt. As the dress flowed into the train, the lace appliques returned once more, adding a romantic finishing touch and beautiful movement as she walked.

I love sweet moments like this between mother and daughter before the ceremony.

Completed in the early 20th century, Heinz Chapel is celebrated for its intricate stonework and its stunning collection of stained glass, which fills the space with rich color and natural light. The grandeur of the chapel creates a sense of reverence and beauty, making it a meaningful place for couples to exchange vows.

Portraits after the Ceremony at Heinz Chapel

After the ceremony, we took time to capture portraits of Anna and Patrick in and around Heinz Chapel.

We were sure to include a stop at the chapel’s iconic red doors. These doors are one of the most requested photo spots at Heinz Chapel, and it’s easy to see why.

Bridal Party Photos in Oakland

After finishing portraits at Heinz Chapel, we headed into Oakland for bridal party photos. We started on the University of Pittsburgh campus, where the classic architecture and open walkways created a timeless backdrop for group photos.

The florals added the perfect finishing touch. The bridesmaids carried soft cream peony bouquets, while the bride’s flowers featured pops of red and pink, adding contrast and personality to the images. Together, the locations, colors, and florals created a cohesive and elegant set of bridal party portraits.

From there, we moved to a private residence in Oakland for additional portraits. This change of scenery added variety and allowed the bridal party to relax and enjoy the moment together. The navy color palette looked especially striking against the neutral tones of the surroundings, creating a clean and polished look.

Reception at Fox Chapel Golf Club

Following the ceremony and portraits, the celebration continued at Fox Chapel Golf Club, one of our favorite wedding venues in Pittsburgh. The reception took place in the club’s stunning atrium, where natural light poured in and highlighted the elegant design of the space.

As guests entered the atrium, the fountain immediately drew attention. It served as a focal point for the room and featured a grand floral arrangement that added height, texture, and a romantic feel to the reception décor. The overall design remained classic and timeless, with thoughtful details woven throughout the space.

And of course, no Pittsburgh wedding is complete without a cookie table. The display added a fun and meaningful local touch that guests always love.

Later in the evening, a brief spring rain passed through, leaving behind an unexpected surprise. A rainbow appeared over the golf course, creating a memorable and uniquely Pittsburgh moment to close out the celebration.
