Katherine & Steven’s Priory Pittsburgh Wedding

A Priory Pittsburgh Wedding Filled with Meaningful Moments

Katherine and Steven’s wedding day was emotional, joyful, and full of thoughtful surprises. From a traditional church ceremony in the Strip District to a stunning Priory Pittsburgh wedding reception, the day unfolded with quiet moments, unexpected joy, and memories their guests will talk about for years.

Getting Ready with Katie

Katie spent the morning getting ready, surrounded by her closest friends and family. The atmosphere was calm, relaxed, and full of anticipation. She wore a gown by Martina Liana, found at Bridal Beginning, that felt timeless and elegant from every angle.

One of the most meaningful details was sewn directly into her gown. Katie’s aunt embroidered a special message into the fabric, adding a deeply personal and sentimental touch to the morning.

Steven’s Morning Preparations

Meanwhile, Steven got ready with his groomsmen, keeping things light and easy. His look was classic and refined, perfectly matching the black, white, and jewel-tone palette of the day. Styled through Generation Tux, his attire felt timeless while still fitting the modern feel of their celebration.

A Traditional Ceremony at St. Stanislaus

The ceremony took place at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, a historic and deeply meaningful setting. As Katherine walked down the aisle, the emotion in the room was undeniable. Seeing their loved ones standing to welcome her was overwhelming in the most beautiful way.

When Katherine and Steven were pronounced husband and wife, white rose petals fell from the ceiling as they exited the church. It was a breathtaking surprise that left guests smiling, cheering, and completely caught up in the moment.

A Stroll Through Pittsburgh for Portraits

After the ceremony, we headed into the Strip District for portraits. We began with the bridal party on a local garage rooftop overlooking the city, creating fun, energetic images with Pittsburgh as the backdrop. From there, Katherine and Steven stepped away for more intimate portraits near the Heinz Lofts, where the most beautiful fall foliage was in peak color.

Later, we made our way to the Roberto Clemente Bridge, capturing classic portraits with the yellow bridge surrounding them. Together, these locations gave their portraits a perfect balance of urban character and timeless style—an unmistakably Pittsburgh feel that reflected who they are.

Reception Details | Priory Pittsburgh Wedding

The reception took place inside the breathtaking The Priory Grand Hall. The space was transformed with a palette of black, white, and rich jewel tones, inspired by the colors of a sunset after a rainstorm. Every detail felt thoughtfully considered.

Florals by McCandless Floral added texture and depth throughout the room, while custom signage by Katie Kiszka tied everything together beautifully. The cake from Prantls was a timeless classic and the perfect finishing touch.
