Arpa & Rohan’s Indian wedding was a joyful celebration full of vibrant color, tradition, and love. We absolutely love photographing South Asian weddings. They are full of energy, emotion, and beautiful details that are always a dream to capture. This one was no exception! Here are some of our favorite moments from their big day.

A Stunning Setup: Modern Wedding Elegance at the Wintergarden:

Before guests arrived, we captured the stunning setup at the Wintergarden. With the November sun casting a warm golden glow through the glass ceiling, the space felt magical. The mandap was draped in rich red and gold fabrics, surrounded by elegant white, yellow, and red florals. Golden chairs lined the stage, ready for the couple’s beautiful Indian ceremony.

Rohan made his entrance to begin the ceremony, escorted by his & the bride’s family. It was a meaningful start to this joyful celebration.

Next, the beautiful bride made her entrance, walking beneath a “Phoolon ki Chadar” a delicate canopy of flowers traditionally held by brothers or close male relatives. This touching tradition symbolizes the bride leaving the protection of her family as she begins a new chapter with her husband.

The Reveal of the Bride:

Rohan had the biggest smile on his face as he saw his bride for the first time!

Following her entrance, the couple took part in the Varmala ceremony, a joyful tradition in Hindu weddings where the bride and groom exchange floral garlands. This beautiful moment signifies mutual respect and acceptance, and traditionally, it was often the first time the couple laid eyes on each other.

A Ceremony Full of Tradition:

Indian weddings are rich with meaningful rituals, symbolism, and vibrant details and this one was no exception. We truly loved capturing every moment, from the sacred traditions to the heartfelt emotions that unfolded under the glow of the evening light.

A Quick Change and a Stunning Transformation:

After the ceremony, Arpa and Rohan changed into fresh outfits for the celebration ahead, while the incredible vendor team worked quickly to flip the mandap during cocktail hour. The ceremonial space was beautifully transformed into a vibrant reception area ready for a night full of dancing, laughter, and love.

Portraits Among the Glow:

Before guests returned to the space, we took a moment for portraits of the couple on the beautifully transformed stage. The glowing wall of candles and opulent linens created the dreamiest backdrop . It was warm, romantic, and completely unforgettable. It was the perfect setting to capture a few quiet moments between the newlyweds.

A Joyful Start to the Celebration
