Liz and Steven’s Greek wedding at The Fez was one of the most energetic and joy-filled celebrations we’ve ever documented. From meaningful Greek traditions to a packed dance floor, this day was unforgettable from start to finish.

Groom Prep & Greek Traditions
In Greek tradition, it is customary for the groom’s family to help dress him. Steven’s prep included this meaningful moment, surrounded by family. Instead of traditional groomsmen, Steven had a Koumbaro, Costa, who served as sponsor and stood by his side.

Meanwhile, Liz had some awesome accessories of her own for the big day!

Valeri, the makeup artist, did a fabulous job on the makeup.

Ceremony at Kimisis Tis Theotokou Church
The ceremony took place at Kimisis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church in Aliquippa, a beautiful and sacred setting for their marriage.
Greek Orthodox ceremonies are rich with symbolism. Traditional items, including the Stefana (wedding crowns), a silver tray with Jordan almonds and rice, and ceremonial candles were displayed at the front of the church. The couple also lit seven candles in memory of loved ones — a deeply meaningful moment we were honored to capture.
The ritual elements, the chanting, the crowning — every part of the ceremony reflected centuries of tradition.

Portraits at Old Economy Village
After the ceremony, we headed to Old Economy Village for formal portraits. The historic architecture provided such a beautiful backdrop. As a result, we got some amazing photographs of the newlyweds!

Reception at The Fez
The evening continued with the reception at The Fez. The ballroom was decorated in the most beautiful shades of purple with orchids throughout the space. It felt so exuberant & luxurious.

The night kicked off with some sweet words from their family & friends. I love listening to the toasts and speeches.

Later on, one of the most special reception traditions took place, the bridal dance. Liz and Steven, along with family members, led the dance ring as each couple took turns being announced and guiding the celebration. Greek dances are best photographed from the center of the ring, capturing the faces and movement — and this group brought the house down.

Without question, this was one of the most fun receptions we’ve ever attended. We had the best time documenting your big day. Thank you so much for having us.
