Meghan & Bryce’s Grand Concourse Wedding

Meghan and Bryce’s Grand Concourse wedding was truly years in the making. Originally planned for July 2020, the pandemic forced them to postpone their big celebration. However, while they delayed the party, they did not delay their marriage. Instead, they chose to elope privately with their parents and their beloved dog, Teddy.

Fast forward to July 2021 — it was finally time to celebrate with family and friends in Pittsburgh.

Wedding Prep at The Sheraton Station Square

The wedding day began at The Sheraton Station Square, where the bridal party gathered for prep.

These ladies all looked fabulous with their wedding hairstyles from Hair By Maddy and makeup by Maddie Goldcamp. Everyone was looking their best.

Meghan wore a stunning Pronovias gown from Bridal Beginning. The lace detail on the bodice was delicate and elegant, perfectly complementing the classic feel of the day. In addition, she carried sentimental heirlooms: her great-grandmother’s handkerchief, a bracelet from her grandmother, and a ring from her late best friend.

From the couple: “Bryce always had an eye for Meghan. During his senior year at college, he decided to take a leap of faith that he never before had the courage to take. He began an 8-month long endeavor to swoon his future wife into going on a date with him. One subtle attempt after another, he finally got his chance when he asked Meghan to be his date to his brother Kevin’s wedding.” … Alas she said Yes!

Meanwhile, Bryce and his groomsmen (sporting personalized socks — Bryce’s famously bacon-themed, of course) prepared for the day ahead.

Catholic Ceremony at Saint Peter’s Church

Although Meghan and Bryce were already legally married, it was incredibly important to them to make it official in the Catholic Church at Saint Peter’s in the North Side.

The couple said that having their grandparents present to witness the sacrament made the ceremony even more meaningful.

Portraits on the North Shore & Smithfield Street Bridge

After the ceremony, we headed to the North Shore for portraits. The city skyline created the perfect Pittsburgh backdrop. This bridal party is the definition of squad goals! They kept the couple hyped and having fun!

From the couple: “We have formed a special connection that comes from the countless belly laughs we’ve shared, our willingness to make the other smile, and the way in which we always put the other person first.” You could definitely see that shine through in the portraits.

Afterwards, we made our way to the Smithfield Street Bridge — affectionately known as “the Blue Bridge.”

During our very first consult call, Meghan and Bryce told us they loved the photos taken there in another Grand Concourse wedding blog. It was important to them, so of course, we made it happen.
