Chelsea and Shane’s Shannopin Country Club Wedding – A classic Pittsburgh celebration:
This wedding day was full of love, laughter, and Pittsburgh charm. They exchanged vows at the beautiful Orchard Hill Church in Wexford, PA, then celebrated their reception at the always-stunning Shannopin Country Club. While the skies brought a steady drizzle, the rain didn’t put a damper on their joy or their photos. Their energy was contagious, and we loved capturing every moment of this special day.
Getting ready at Orchard Hill Church:
We photographed Chelsea’s bridal details inside Orchard Hill Church. We couldn’t have asked for a better indoor space for photos. The room featured floor-to-ceiling windows that filled the space with soft, natural light perfect for capturing her dress, accessories, and sweet getting-ready moments.
To kick off the fun, Chelsea surprised her bridesmaids with a confetti pop celebration. It was the perfect start to the day!
The bride was surrounded by love as she got ready for the big day. Her mom helped her into her gown, and her bridesmaids were by her side every step of the way zipping dresses, adjusting jewelry, and offering lots of laughs and support. It was such a joyful and meaningful part of the morning.
Over in another part of Orchard Hill Church, Shane was getting ready with his groomsmen. The atmosphere was laid-back and fun as the guys helped each other with ties, cufflinks, and last-minute touches. Shane looked sharp and relaxed, surrounded by his closest friends and more than ready to see his bride.
A Joyful Ceremony at Orchard Hill Church:
Chelsea was escorted down the aisle by her dad, beaming with excitement. The ceremony took place in the simple yet stunning chapel at Orchard Hill Church, filled with soft light and smiling faces. Chelsea and Shane couldn’t stop smiling as they exchanged vows.
Portraits at the Church — Rain and All:
In true Pittsburgh fashion, Mother Nature added a little drama with rain on the wedding day. But that didn’t stop us! We started portraits in the beautifully designed lobby of Orchard Hill Church. It turned out to be the perfect spot to begin capturing Chelsea and Shane’s just-married glow.
Just as we wrapped up portraits at the church, the rain started to clear. By the time we arrived at Shannopin Country Club, the skies had opened up just enough for us to continue photos outdoors. The lush grounds and soft post-rain light made for beautiful, romantic portraits of the newlyweds and their wedding party.
Golden Reception Details at Shannopin Country Club:
The reception space at Shannopin Country Club was classic and elegant, styled in shades of black, gold, and fresh greenery. Tables were adorned with lush hydrangea centerpieces and delicate accents of cascading greens. A simple naked cake stood as a centerpiece, adding a touch of rustic charm to the refined setting.
Getting the Party Started:
Chelsea and Shane made an unforgettable entrance into their reception complete with confetti cannons that had the whole room cheering! They went straight into their first dance, soaking in the moment surrounded by family and friends. The celebration continued with heartfelt toasts, and the couple stayed fully present, smiling and tearing up through every sweet word.
A Glowing Send-Off:
To end the night on a high note, Chelsea and Shane were sent off with a magical glow wand exit. Guests lined up waving colorful lights as the newlyweds made their way through, smiling and soaking in every last moment of their perfect day. It was the perfect, joy-filled finale to an unforgettable celebration.
