Jen and Dave’s wedding at Bella Sera was a joyful summer celebration in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. After postponing their original date by ten months due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they were beyond ready to finally say “I do.” Thankfully, they were gifted with a perfect July day — surprisingly cool and breezy, and ideal for a summer wedding!!!
Bella Sera Event Villa provides a beautiful and elegant setting for couples planning a classic Pittsburgh-area wedding. The venue’s warm, Tuscan-inspired space creates a lovely backdrop for a wedding.
Summer Color and Meaningful Details
Jen chose a vibrant pink and fuchsia color palette for the florals and bridesmaids’ dresses, which felt bright and joyful against the neutral tones of Bella Sera. The bold florals added a beautiful pop of color throughout the space.
Hearts and Flowers Floral Design Studio did a stunning job designing arrangements that framed the fireplace and enhanced the reception décor. Every detail felt thoughtfully chosen.
I love that all eyes were on Jen as her dad escorted her down the aisle!
Garden Portraits at Bella Sera
After the ceremony, we stepped outside into the garden space at Bella Sera for portraits. We began with the bridal party, and this group brought so much joy and personality to the photos. I always love it when we have a playful group that isn’t afraid to laugh and have fun together. It makes the portraits feel natural and full of life.
Once we finished with the bridal party, we transitioned into portraits of just Jen and Dave. The garden provided a soft, romantic backdrop for their couple photos. The summer light, paired with their joyful energy, created images that feel so genuine.
A Perfectly Pink Reception
The reception at Bella Sera was filled with celebration and thoughtful details. One of our favorite details was the wedding cake, which beautifully incorporated their beloved cats — such a sweet and personal touch that had guests smiling.
In true Pittsburgh fashion, they also featured a traditional cookie table. Guests enjoyed an incredible spread of homemade cookies, a staple at Pittsburgh weddings and always a highlight of the night.
The dance floor stayed lively as friends and family celebrated the long-awaited day. There was so much joy in the room after their postponement, and you could feel how grateful everyone was to finally be together.
We ended the evening with a fun group photo from the balcony. It is one of our favorite ways to capture the full energy of a Bella Sera wedding reception.
